The yellow sapphire is a gorgeous 3.06 ct natural and unheated gem, mined in Sri Lanka (formerly known as Ceylon). Less than 1% of all sapphires used in jewelry are natural and unheated so this is a very special gem. It has a beautiful cut and is better than eye clean. The color, clarity and sparkle are reminiscent of a fancy yellow diamond! The setting has just over one quarter carat of fine quality of diamonds. These gorgeous diamonds, combined with the fine quality sapphire, is more than enough to create a truly eye catching look. This ring is not overloaded with diamonds which makes it perfect for every day wear. The ring is designed with a diamond halo surrounding the sapphire and a diamond studded split triple row band. The band is just over 1/4 inch wide and has a certain lightness to it because of the open shank. The detail and workmanship of the setting are just impeccable.
