Everything about this sapphire ring is amazing. It all begins with a rare 2.69 carat heart shape pink sapphire with the most perfect pink hue. The heart shape in this size is very unusual and hard to find. And then to find it in this exquisite color, we felt so lucky. The color is a medium pink, not too light, not too dark or vivid. It is a pure pink, without purple or lavender tones that pink sapphires often have. We are just in love with this stone. How fitting that it is a heart shape! The sapphire is very nearly eye clean and does have a couple of tiny birthmarks that are visible under brighter lighting. They are very small (0.4mm) and do not diminish the beauty in any way. We've set it in a simple diamond halo setting which, in our opinion, enhances the beauty of the stone, without being too much or competing with it. We wanted the sapphire to be the star of this ring. The diamonds are also of very fine quality, near colorless and nearly loupe clean.
